Welcome to my cookbook, which is a collection of recipes scribbled on 3x5 cards, torn out of magazines, or (since the early 1990s) printed out on computer paper. It's time to get these unruly recipes whipped into shape. I have given credit wherever I can, but I don't know the origin of all of these recipes. 24 hour red wine steak marinade

Not much to it. Mix the ingredients and let a couple of steaks marinade in the mixture for 24 hours before grilling.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/8 cup red wine
  • some chopped parsley, don't be shy, 1/2 TB or more will be great
  • 1-1/2 TB red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 ts. garlic powder
  • 1/4 ts. salt and black pepper
