Instructions: Not a lot to this one. Form the patties, salt, pepper. Cut off two pats of butter and set aside, then melt the rest of the butter in the frying pan. Brown the thick patties on both sides. Put a pat of butter on top of each patty and drizzle with a tiny amount of real maple syrup -- not too much, this is a low carb recipe! Put a lid on the frying pan and cook on medium-low or so until done, giving you a chance to make a low carb side. My choice was brocolli with two kinds of cheese melted in. Rather than put a cold cheese slice on my burger, right before the burgers came off, I put a thick slice on each one and let it melt slightly into the meat. Not too much! This makes an extremely juicy burger but if you want more decadence, you can pour the pan sauces over your burger.
